Hampshire Sheen Hard Wax Oil - 500ml

• This super product contains a high wax-to-oil ratio for a superb satin finish in as little as two coats when applied as we recommend.
• Ideal for large and small surface areas, our special blend of oils and waxes is as easy to use as a standard oil finish and provides a durable, splash resistent and highly desirable finish to your woodwork. No flaking or peeling.
• Containing no additional drying agents, resins, varnishes or hardeners, our Hard Wax Oil is easy to apply to your work. Apply it, allow it to soak in then buff off any excess. Leave it for an hour before applying a second coat, then let it cure overnight. The next day, give it a good buff to complete the wonderfully smooth satin finish. Repeat as you require.
• Use on fruit and salad bowls or items requiring a more satin finish.
• Translucent pale brown in the tin. It slightly darkens the wood when it is applied—characteristic aroma of solvents and waxes.
• Supplied in a 500ml 'berg top' tin bottle. Store in a cool, dry place, ideally between 10° and 30°C (50° and 90°F) Where possible. Protect from extreme heat and freezing. Keep out of direct sunlight.
• Kept according to instructions, it is best used within six months after opening the product. Due to the curing nature of the product, it will thicken over time.
• Food safe. Tested to EN71-3 

How to Use:

1. Sand your work down to your desired grit. We recommend 400 grit.
2. Apply the oil using a paper towel or brush;
3. After a few minutes, remove excess oil from the surface of the piece;
4. Allow 60 minutes between coats and apply a maximum of 2 before allowing to cure;
5. Leave to cure thoroughly for at least 24-48 hours before buffing and putting into use. Curing time will vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity;
6. Recoat as required.
7. For best results, use within 6 months of purchase. Product will thicken over time.
